Let me start by saying that I do think this is a pretty awesome alternative to what one would typically see and or buy at the drug-store. Although personally, my husband and I did were not able to get used to the feeling. I imagine if you can tolerate the strips, clips, or other similar products then you may get used to it fast. I was very much able to feel something inside my nostrils. The material itself is very flexible and soft, it is not an uncomfortable feeling, I was just very aware of it. Also, it seemed as if it was a bit more difficult to breathe (barely) with the smooth piece, a little better with the rigged one. But, this may have just been because I knew something was in my nostrils. Basically, it didn't seem to "open up the nostrils" but rather keep them open with the walls of the dilator pressed against the walls of the nostrils...if that makes sense. I definitely like the variety of dilators, on the other hand if you do not have an "average" nose/nostrils such as a deviated septum it does not fit right, causing it to be bothersome (not irritating), but unable to keep them in for long periods. I do think this is a good product and a wonderful idea, which is why I still gave it 3/4 stars, as I could see it being beneficial to some, it just wasn't for us. Some people are just more sensitive then others, maybe your not, so if you can't seem to find something that works, and your tired of the loud snoring sounds, I would recommend giving it a try.
